This wide tape works much better than duct tape. It hugs the curve of the racket better. Just press it down and it wraps. Because it is wide sometimes you can just use half the length by splitting it in two to make up for the full length.
I like the additional width. Product is great. Would get it again.
does the job well
I like to buy the wider tape even though you get less of the tape for the same price. It covers comfortably my regular size frame head. The tape lasts forever on clay, but on a hard surface it gets a little hole in it when a hit half volleys, which is understandable and not a big deal. I also like the fact that the tape makes the head of my racquet a little bit heavier and gives me more power. The only downside I see with the tape is that its not that easy to put it on the racquet; it wrinkles a little sometimes, but any tape would do that. You may also find it come off a little at spots at times, but not more than other tape would from the same material and its no problem at all. I have been using this tape for years and highly recommend it.

Does its job.
The guard tape does what it is made to do. The head of the racquet is better protected. The negative is it adds a small amount of head weight. If your racquet is balanced just like you like it then you might not be happy with the small change in head weight.
Works well does what it is supposed to -- I like the additional width which works well with many of the new wider frames.

Gamma Guard Tape
Ive tried the Wilson guard tape and liked it enough but it got banged-up pretty easily. I saw that a friend used the Gamma brand and it looked tougher. I like it alot more. It doesnt have the shiney finish that makes the Wilson look sharp but it is so much tougher. I feel like it protects my racquet more than twice as much. Ive talked a few of my friends into using it since. I definately recommed Gamma tape over the Wilson tape.
I play with 20 year old rackets and the grommet strip at the top of the racket is falling apart. This tape is protecting the rackets from further damage. By the way, Ive never found a racket I like better than the Prince Thunderstorm. Head tape is the solution for all you people, like me, that are clinging to their old equipment.
Finally found wide tape
I love my racquets and I dont want them scratched up. The plastic racquet guards dont protect the frame from slice stabs or getting to low balls that can chip away at the frame. I would buy guard tape but I always ended up putting it on both sides of the frame because no matter what brand of tape I bought it was never wide enough to use just one strip. This solves everything and I love it. Great product.
This tape is great for protecting your racquet, and is exactly as the description states.
Gamma Guard Tape Wide
The width of the tape covers the head of the tennis racquet perfectly. However the thickness of the tape is too thin. The delivery is on time.
Protect your racquet!
I like that this is a little wider to cover more of the frame of the racquet and not just over the strings on top. Its really durable and even when I scrape the racquet on the ground, all I see is a mark on the tape, as it holds up very well! The price is right too!
Ill start with the positive. It doesnt say anything on the tape. From there, its down hill. Its just too wide. I like to run a bit of tape over my racquets. The Babolat or Wilson tape is a better size for that. The Gamma tape is cheaper, but too wide. I was practically hitting the strings. Trimming it would have been a nightmare. I have half a roll lying around. I figure Ill find some use for it.
protect your racket
provides some protection for your frame.
It Did What It was Supposed To
Works great. I like that it is wider. I have a 21mm beam, and I like for the tape to fold over the sides.
Couldnt be more pleased. Products, services, and prices are the best!
