Read the Full Review of the Pure Drive Cortex from Rackets411.com

The Babolat Pure Drive Cortex features more pop then the older version. The Pure Drive Cortex is a good tweener tennis racquet that is versatile, but still holds its stiffness. With a lively stringbed, players will find great response when hitting from all areas of the court. The Woofer technology adds pistons to the side of the frame that act as suspension to dampen the amount of harmful vibrations and shock that may hurt the player. The 100 sq. in. headsize offers a larger sweet spot for players while the 16x19 string pattern allows for some string bite and spin generation.

For more vibration dampening, Babolat added the Cortex System, proven to reduce the amount of vibration going to your arm for better feel. With plenty of pop, spin, and feel, the Pure Drive Cortex quickly became a popular tennis racquet in the ATP and WTA. In fact, the racquet was used by 3 of the world’s #1 tour tennis players: Carlos Moya (Mar. ’99), Kim Clijsters (Sept. ’03), and Andy Roddick (Dec. ’03). For more leverage on serves and reach on shots, the Pure Drive Cortex Plus has an extended 27.5 in. racquet length. We recommend the Babolat Pure Drive Cortex for NTRP rating 4.0 and above.

...wow
4/5
I have playing tennis for a couple of years on my school's tennis team. I used to hit with the o3 hybrid hornet by prince, and one day I hit around with my friend's pure drive. It felt great. This racquet had the same, if not more power, while being a bit havier. So the shots/hits felt more solid. So far my only complaint is that during long matches, it sometime feels too heavy, but thats probably only because I am so weakkkk. =/
