The purists will appreciate the classic construction of the Avery M3 Control and its impressive control. Complete graphite construction provides a considerable heft to the frame weighing in at 12.3 ounces strung. Further enhancing control, the 95 square inch head size is complimented by a 16x20 stringing pattern and significant 12 points head light balance. A bit of a throw back to simpler times, the throat of the M3 Control is accented with a crossbar stabilizing beam for increased torsional stability and precision. Our testing staff was most impressed with the feeling of weight through the ball and the maneuverability for a heavier frame. Accuracy was excellent and performance suffered only slightly on shots hit outside of the sweet spot thanks to the weight. Definitely a frame to try for the classic all-court player, this one adapts well to any style and provides impressive control.
