I am a solid 4.5 to 5.0 player and I found that this racquet tends to generate more power for me with less effort than the Prince Triple Threat Scream racquets that I was playing. Off-center hits are forgivable; serves were solid and crisp; volleys were firm. Overall, I like these racquets very much and I will be purchasing them in the future.

Pure Drive Pure Bliss

I have to say it, this racquet keeps getting better as I get used to it. The extra 1/2 inch has had a surprising impact on my ability to reach and has added power and spin to my serve. I agree with almost everything I have read in reviews, so I wont repeat that here. I did demo this racquet, and the Aeropro Drive GT Plus, as well as some standard length racquets before purchasing and I am glad I did. Though, I must say that the demo version played much differently. The strings were shot and there was some lead tape on the frame, so the new racquet with fresh strings played much differently. The demo version did give me a good sense of the extra length though.

Although everyone's attention is drawn to the Pure Drive GT, the Pure Drive GT Plus isn't that bad. The Pure Drive's in general perform very well. It's much easier to control the depth of all your shots. Volleys are crisp and ground strokes are smooth and stable. The extra half inch added to the racquet does have it's benefits. Better height on your serve and of course reach. Personally, it does not satisfy me. It all depends on your play style and your physicality. The extra weight from the grip shouldn't bother most guys and some girls. I'm not strong in the arm so it's not the best but very easy to manage. If you need power and maneuverability, I would highly reccomend this racquet. Preferably at 58-60 lb tension. It deserves a try and I'm sure it won't disappoint you.
