DUNLOP Biomimetic Max 200G Tennis Racquet

Okay. Ive been playing with it for about 5 months now. Its a slice machine. Lots of control, almost too much touch. I put nearly an ounce total of lead at 3,9 and 12. Now its perfect. I prefer a heavy racquet so I went nuts with the tape, but if you like control - get this stick. Theres a reason why MAC plays with it. Hes a control freak on the court that is, out of control in the head though. Add tape for a little more plow. I love this thing. Ill pick up a couple more once theres a big sale on it.

Strung with NXT Tour 17 @ 58. Great feel and touch controlled power, fantastic at the next. Better for full swings. A little too head heavy compared to the 400 Tour Biomimetic but a good weight to customize. Plays close to the original 200G or the McEnroe Maxply of a few years ago. Worth a try if you want a litter more pop on your serve and groundies along with control.

This racquet is a knife! I normally wouldn't not even consider a racquet like this because of the size and weight but it made me change my opinion. My racquet of choice is Wilson BLX Six One Tour 90. My racquets are instruments of precision and no other racquets can match them until I tried the Dunlop 200G Max. Excellent in every department. Power is there, control is great, spin is great, touch is great, feel is great, volley is great. It can be used with great precision and yet forgiving. The slice with this thing is simply amazing. All Ive done to the racquet is adding 6 grams inside the butt cap to bring it to 12oz and make it a touch more head light, just personal preference, not really a must but I like it just a tad more that way. Now Im not leaving my 6.1 90s but I went ahead and bought 2 Dunlops. Great racquet, its a must try especially for an all court player. The 200G Max was to me a very pleasant surprise.

Dunlop makes great playing racquets. With this update, the Max 200G offers a nice combination of maneuverability at the net and control. You need to generate your own power with this racquet, which is made easy with its sub-12 oz weight. I added about 1.5 inches of lead tape at 12 oclock on both sides to give my serves a bit more force. This racquet offers a nice balance of frame stiffness and flex for those with sensitive arms. Offers much of the goodness of the Biomimetic 200 with a little less heft. Worth a demo!

I was in the market for a new 6.1 90. I play really solid on the older Kfactor and was looking to upgrade. I bought a PureDrive last year which is fun but I can get a little wild on it when I really wanted to go for it. Picked the Dunlop on a pure whim. I played the original 200g in high school and it was my favorite racquet. My grandfather, who taught me how to play and also used the 200g in the 80s - just passed away so purchasing the new 200g was based on emotion, not logic. I have to say - Im really impressed. It isnt a power frame, in fact - it gave me no feedback when I tried ripping it. It loves about an 80% swing. My serves were ridiculous. Put a dime in the box and I could hit it. I lost about 10mph on my flat but the control was insane!!! The other noticeable thing about the racquet is the slice. It didnt like my big forehand that I use on the pure drive or the Kfactor- was great on my one hand backhand and awesome on serve, but I could slice anything with it.
