For players wanting forgiveness, power, and control, the new Head YouTek IG Extreme OS is the newest addition to the Extreme family. Sharing many of the characteristics of its smaller brother, this racquet offers increased forgiveness due to the increased sweetspot as well as a lighter overall weight. The introduction of the new Innegra fiber, which is a melt-spun low density, high modulus fiber integrated into the graphite matrix to increase the strength of the racquet. The result is greater stability while the flex characteristics of the fiber also help to dampen vibration for more comfort and feel. The YouTek IG Extreme OS still features the popular YouTek technology, which has been widely successful among all families in the Head line. Utilizing the d3O smart material, the racquet effectively stiffens on faster swings for increased stability and control, while remaining more flexible on slower swings for improved feel on slices and touch shots. The larger 107 sq. in. headsize and open string pattern make this racquet very spin friendly with good pop. The weight and balance combination make this frame both maneuverable at the net and stable from the baseline, allowing players of all styles to appreciate the unique performance of this racquet. While this racquet does provide a good amount of power, it is still primarily a control oriented frame, joining the ranks as one of the few oversized control oriented racquets.
