HEAD Youtek IG Prestige MP Tennis Racquet

I like the control of the racket although it is very low powered, which made me over-swing at times. One downside was that a part of head-guard attached to the grommet broke within three weeks of playing. It does not affect the performance of the racket but I was unhappy that a one mis-hit caused such damage. Otherwise, a solid racket.

Advanced technique required. Big on precision and feel. Despite a dense string pattern, you can get plenty of action on spin serves and ground strokes. Naturally being a low powered racquet for fast and long swings, those wanting more juice will want to string loose low 50s to 40s. Very comfortable and stable and will encourage you to perform correct technique and swing out with confidence.

OK so its my second time demoing the IG Prestige Midplus and I decided to try out the IG Prestige Mid along with it. I am a 4.5 Player and Ive noticed that the Midplus is so much more user friendly than the IG Presitge Mid. Id say that the from the baseline the IG Prestige Midplus takes the cake. The Mid is just too demanding from the baseline for extended rallies longer than 5 strokes. Although the IG Prestige Mid does have good plow through, you can get similar results of plow through from the Midplus if you take a bigger cut at the ball and exaggerate follow through. Id maybe choose the Presitge IG Mid if you like doubles play and you are a very strong-fit player, that hits FLAT balls, but im giving the Midplus version the title between the two of all-around better performer.

Ive been playing with a MICROGEL PRESTIGE MID racquet and recently demoing the IG RADICAL MP. I feel that the the IG PRESTIGE MP is an overall good racquet and that it plays well from all around the court, its lacks the maneuverability of the racquets I mention above and Id have given it a better rating if I felt it helped my serve. Asides from that I liked it at the net and even better from the baseline.

My son really like this racquet...as a new freshmen on the tennis team in highschool, he really liked playing with it..good control and power..won most of his matches with it

I just moved to the new Prestige MP. I was completely happy with the prior version, but do feel that the new one has a softer feel on volleys and more racquet head speed on serves. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a lot of control and can generate his/her own power.
