Kennex Ionic K1 5 Racquet
5/5
I have been suffering with a tennis elbow for many months and demoed several racquets. One of your reps, John Burt spent considerable time with me and directed me to the Kennex Ionic Ki 5. I am extremely pleased with the racquet combined wth hybrid stringing and as of last week I called John to order a second racquet as a back-up. I received wonderful service and would recommend this racquet.

I got this racquet from a French tennis coach. It has great spin and control on it, and you already have a built in dampener on the racquet. The sand in the head of the racquet is good for a dampener, and you cannot feel any pain when playing with this racquet. The sand absorbs all the energy that is transferred from the ball to the racquet.

This is a thin beam, control-oriented racquet that really delivers on its arm friendly reputation. Although not a lightweight by modern standards, I found the racquet easy to manuver from the baseline and at the net. Well struck shots have a nice pop, but this is not a power racquet by any means. Having said that, I feel touch, control and the ability to take full swings more than make up for the lack of power. Bottom line - Im experiencing less pain and enjoying the game of tennis more than ever. For advanced players, particularly those with elbow problems, this racquet is definitely worth a try.

The Ionic Ki 5 Yellow tennis racquet is good frame. Pro Kennex Kinetic technology is quite effective. However, I felt that this racquet could use either more weight, or more of the tiny elements of kinetic mass. The 100 square inch head size made it very easy to find the sweet spot. I am currently using a ninety-five square in face and I noticed that I was able to hit the ball higher and deeper with the extra area. The semi-open string pattern of 16x20 provided access to spin, which is a necessity in todays game. Overall, I found the racquet to be solid, especially from the baseline. In spite of this, it seemed like the frame just did not have enough weight for me. I consider myself to have relatively long and fast strokes. Taking that into consideration, this racquet may be excellent for some one with moderate to long stokes, and medium to fast swings.
