Under ArmourView Other Brands »
Though it may seem a household name now, Under Armour was only recently founded in 1996 by Kevin Plank, a college football player at the University of Maryland. Tired of emerging from games covered in sweat, Plank sought to make a shirt that kept him cool and dry in the midst of the most strenuous athletic competition. Thus Under Armour was born, and what was born as a football shirt soon became a sportswear outfitter that not only makes clothes for every sport, but makes clothes for every kind of weather and every kind of athlete. Currently sponsoring the up-and-coming Sloane Stephens, Under Armour is slowly but surely becoming a behemoth in the sporting goods market.
Though many brands emulate the Under Armour technology, the original HeatGear was and remains the first and best in warm-weather performance. Under Armour has since grown to offer gear for cold weather, temperate weather, and ultimate moisture management. We expect nothing less from a company whose goal is "To make all athletes better through passion, design, and the relentless pursuit of innovation."
