Offering more weight than the standard 500, the Dunlop Biomimetic 500 Tour combines the playability and features with added stability that stronger players need. Designed for intermediate to advanced players, the 500 Tour offers the fusion of control and power. The successor to the popular Aerogel 500 Tour series, the Biomimetic treatment offers enhanced comfort through the use of the HM6 Carbon. This carbon layup is designed from the study of the honeycomb structure, which is made up of approximately 95% air for increased vibration dampening while offering greater rigidity and stability. The Biomimetic 500 Tour features popular tweener specs with a firm feel for power and stability without sacrificing control. The open 16x18 string pattern allows for excellent spin generation and maneuverability is enhanced thanks to the Aeroskin technology. The outer surface of the frame is covered in strategic locations with microscopic riblets to create localized areas of microturbulence. This greatly reduces aerodynamic drag for greater racquet head speed. This racquet is a worthy successor to the 500 name, and promises to provide a blend of power, control, stability, and comfort.
