Appropriately named after one of the world's deadliest predators, the new Dunlop Biomimetic Black Widow 17 will allow strong players to dictate and attack like never before. In their first foray into the geometric string market, Dunlop brings a heptagonal, seven sided, profile to give players a lot of bite on the ball and excellent spin generation. Black Widow uses a copolymer construction, which is able to give players impressive durability in a more player friendly package. The high tensile strength extrusion process results in a highly durable string, while the copolymer mixture allows for increased feel and surprising amounts of power. This string is perfect for the power baseliner who uses spin to dictate points with hard, heavy groundstrokes. Due to the geometric nature of this string, durability will be slightly lower than round polyester strings, but the trade off comes back with the spin and power that can be generated. This string will give you tremendous spin, depth, and control. With this string, i beat my opponent by wipping deep, high, tospin ground stroke. Balls will usually fly high and looks like it is going out and then the last moment, it drops. It then kicks and bounce high, cathcing the opponent off guard. Be warned, that this is not a powerful string. The power is generate by the hitter. This string forces you to hit the ball with follow through. if you do not have a good follow through, look eslewhere. Once you see the rewards of using good follow through, the hitting becomes so addicting. So addicting that i play too much and have had sore arms everyday.
