GENESIS Typhoon 16L Tennis String

I switched from the Luxilon Alu Power Rough to the Genesis Typhoon. The Typhoon plays just a well but a little softer and I find it creates less stress on my arm and shoulder.

This is just like ALU Rough except more pop, power and spin. Also... holds tension MUCH MUCH Better.

Typhoon is a huge spin generator. The strings feels very wiry out of the package but is actually not bad at all to string. It is a bit stiffer than alot of strings but has incredible bite on the ball and allows for taking a big agressive swing at the ball. Good choice for topspin players.

This string, strung at 60lbs, and my racket, a Head Youtek 6 Star, give me the power, spin and control Ive been looking for. My topspin forehands and backhands are now weapons, my spin serve has more curve and bite on the bounce and my slice forehand and backhand also have more action. Ive been playing this string for a month now and I rarely have to move the strings back into place and I hit a lot of spin shots. Im very pleased.

I have just finished playing with this string for the 3rd time. The string may have been a little tight the first two times but today it played very well. I normally hit with little spin but it seemed to get a little more today. The power also showed up. I suggest you string it 5 lbs. less then you normally string your rackets, but make sure you use the same stringer to really calibrate. If strung too tight give it 4 plays to loosen up, poly will loosen up. If still too tight replace and lower the tension.. I recommend it. Played soft with feel,spin and power.

I am a 5.0/5.5 player, and also the Director of Tennis, and Pro Shop owner and racquet stringer at our club. Ive tried a ton of strings in my lifetime and I would put the Typhoon in the top 5 strings I would recommend. It has more control than RPM, and a great feel for a polyester, almost feels like a multifilament, it grabs the ball very well. It does not grab it as much as Luxilon Alu Power , but the only strings I would say are better on gripping the ball is the ALU POWER and Natural Gut. It is pretty powerful but not jumpy or springy. It has very good durability but it is pretty soft on the arm, and the tension maintenance seems very good as well.

This string is really good for those who like to use a lot of spin. I use 56lbs and I find it holds tension well. I would certainly recommend this string.

This is a great string. My coach introduced it to me and it gives the right amount of spin and power. It has great amount of pop to it so I would suggest stringing it at a higher tension. This is overall a great string and I would suggest it to any Tennis player

Ive been testing some poly and poly hybrids lately. Genesis Typhoon offers the comfort of a syn gut and the spin of a textured poly. Less powerful than big hitter blue rough but still good power and just as much spin, IMO. Softer and more powerful than weiss cannon black 5 edge or pro hurricane tour. I expect the performance hours will be about average or slightly above, maybe 10-12 hrs. I rated 4-stars for overall and performance b/c polys in general dont last long. Satisfaction is 5-star b/c other than duration which is expected to be low it offers great value and performance. String this at your usual syn gut tension. For me that is 55-57 lbs in a Wilson six one team. I play in a 4.5 league.

If you want spin and power, this is good one, maybe a little too much power for me. What I liked about this string the most is that it held tension very well.

This is an amazing string. It provides great power and accuracy. To compliment these attributes the string has great touch for volleys or soft shots around the net. I was very reluctant to try an all poly string versus a soft multifiliment or my usual hybrid string. However, this string has a very good feel versus the usual stiff shocking feel I usually get with an all poly string. Try it - it wont disappoint. Club 4.5 all court player.

Im impressed with how well this string maintains its tension and the spin is just amazing. I bit too much power for me but pretty good overall.

In my opinion, it is the best strings i have tried so far. In addition to what John from GA wrote, it is also very elbow friendly. In many ways, I believe this string surpasses Luxilon.

By far the best string ever! I have been in search for the perfect poly for over a year now. This string beats them all. I tried the Solinco strings and the Luxilon strings. They were a huge FAIL. Everyone should give Genesis Typhoon a try. Best spin from a poly ever. Feels very good too. Tension maintenance is superb!

Solid feel with very good bite. Produces top spin or slice with ease. I have had it in for two weeks playing twice a week. Small tension loss in the first week then has remained the same.

I have been using Luxilon ALU Rough for many years and have always been seeking a close alternative at a fraction of the price. Well, I found it! The Genesis Typhoon is outstanding in every category and gives great power and spin. If you play tennis, you should try this as you will not be dissappointed.
