HEAD YOUTEK Radical Lite Tennis Racquets

Been playing with this racquet since they came out. I loved it from the first ball I hit! I am a woman in her mid 50s who plays 4-6 xs a week and involved in womans club leagues. 3.5+ rating. Because of all of the court time and my aging body I wanted a very light racquet to ease the strain on my arm. I have played with, and loved, quite a few of Heads wonderful racquets. My first Radical Tour racquet late 90s vintage~yellow and black was my first love @ 13 oz! I loved that thing but it tore up my arm and shoulder, thus began the search for the perfect light racquet. Then I played with the Ti.S5 and a Head blue and white ladies racquet that was 8.0 oz! Still, I was not completely satisfied until the Youtek line came out. Bingo! Like I said, from the first ball I hit...I felt like I had my 13 oz. Radical back...minus 4 heafty ozs! Heaven. This is a wonderful racquet if you need a light weight. However, the first stringing was way too loose @55lbs.

I am trying to move to a larger racket from my 95 sq in frame and the Head Radical OS Lite may be my next frame. As a doubles specialist, the racket provided quickness, stability and pop. The oversized head made it easier to find the sweetspot. It is comfortable on my 67 year old arm. May be a good fit for my game and I would recommend to others.

This racquet improves my game a lot. Is well balance, light and have a great power.

I tried the Radical and the Radical Lite, the Speed and the Speed Lite, the Instinct and the Instinct Lite, as well as numerous racquets by Babolat, Wilson, Yonex and Prince. The Head Radical Lite was by FAR the best racquet for me. Ive used it now for months and I like it even more than when it arrived. Im a beginner/intermediate and it is damp enough, the sweet spot is big enough, I get good spin, volleys feel solid and the light weight works for me. I must be getting old. The heavier Radical was WAY too heavy for me. Tennis express had the grip size I needed in stock and shipping was on time. You cant ask for more.

I purchased this raquet after trying out many different ones and borrowing this particular one from my tennis coach for quite some time. I was looking for a light racquet that still felt solid in my hands and swing and that delivered both power and accuracy. This raquet does not disappoint! It is light, great for people prone to tennis elbow, but it feels solid and I feel in control when I swing, something I found lacking in many of the other light raquets. I had it strug at 61 with a 17 gauge string, I am happy with both. I liked how Tennis Express sold the raquet with an option to have it strung and let me choose several free string options. Plus the raquet was delivered within a couple of days. I would definately recommend this raquet and this retailer. I am an intermediate player who plays 2-3 times per week, both recreationally and in match play.

This one does not have the power that my Liquidmetal 8 has. When I demo'ed my friends racquet it felt very nice, could be the strings. I don't know, it was strung at 57 which was the same as my friends. It's a nice stick but not for me. I will be staying with my Liquidmetal.

When my wife tried this racquet and her eyes got bigger at her first swing, I told her to hold her exaggeration until she tried out all 4 demo racquets. I was sure that she will make another face when she tried another racquet with a bigger face. She and I are pretty beginners of tennis, but we both are active in athlete, jogging, workout and all. We both ended up liking this racquet for controllability, vibrant feeling with every hit, extremely easy maneuvering with lightweight. It came with two different strings, FXP 16G horizontal and SONIC PRO 17G vertical, both in 57 lbs tension. Those string setup seemed helping with control and spin. While I was analyzing my wife’s reaction to each racquet to figure out which one would be her ultimate choice, her aesthetic point kicked in and loved the mix of those strings. She is happy with this racquet and I secretly tried it out when she was not using it. I would recommend this racquet for anyone.

I love my new racket, it was a great step up from the last Head racket that I had, which was stolen recently. The size and weight of the racket is fantastic. My game has benefitted from this on various levels. I love it!

I just rejoined the sport after 10 years absent from it and after trying several raquets the Head Radical Lite OS is a keeper. Great feel & power.

I demo'd 4 rackets. This and the Babolat aero drive with cortex were my favorites. I just bought this (head) racket and I can't wait to go play with it! Very light and easy to maneauver. Lots of control, and lots of spin with this ... Maybe if you hit really flat and hard you will not like it as much as I do. This racket is good for moderate swings, and for control over power.
