HEAD Youtek Extreme MP Tennis Racquets

I was looking for a slightly lighter, more flexible tweener frame that was a little easier on my arm, but also one that would deliver some pop and had an open stringbed for good access to spin. This is it...almost. In its stock form, the YTEMP is a little on the light side and also a bit unstable when returning hard-hit shots. I added a few grams of lead to the hoop, some more in the bridge, and put some weight under the buttcap. The result is a slightly extended racquet that has good flex and enough plowthrough to really blast shots from the baseline. Its still pretty whippy. My only complaint about it is that it still feels a little hollow, and depending on the string, sometimes tinny. All in all a great frame for baseliners in the 3.5-4.5 range.

The Head Extreme MP has outstanding maneuverability. It is practically an extension of my arm which helps me place the ball anywhere on the court from the baseline. Also, on serves, you can generate a lot of control and spin. This helps me because I am a big server. The only thing I was left dissapointed with this racquet was its feel. There isn't much feel to this racquet, so it is harder for those long rallies where you need the most out of your racquet to win the point. Overall, this racquet is for big servers and big hitters from all areas of the court due to its control, spin, and maneuverability.

Tried 7-8 racquets, but this one felt solid. My elbow was sore, so I had it strung with gut and now my elbow is all good.

I am a solid 4.0 player and have been looking for a racket periodically for 2 years. This racket has everything I am looking for: control with power, and great feel swinging (balanced)- def worth a try. Highly recommend - and I have tried many rackets!!
