HEAD Youtek IG Extreme Pro Tennis Racquet

The heaviest of the Extreme family, the new Head YouTek IG Extreme Pro features a similar mold as its lighter brother but a more hefty feel and different string spacing. Featuring the new Innegra technology, which utilizes the low density, high modulus melt-spun fibers to increase the strength of the racquet for more consistent playability over the life of the racquet. Another benefit to the Innegra fiber is that its unique flex characteristic effectively dampens vibration for enhanced comfort. The YouTek IG Extreme Pro still features the YouTek technology which is designed to adapt to situations to give players the appropriate response based on the situation. This is accomplished using the d3O smart material, which firms up on faster swings for enhanced control and stability while remaining softer for increased feel on touch shots. Head has worked to increase the aerodynamics of the frame by changing the throat cross section from its standard elliptical beam to a slightly more triangular cross section. It should be noted that the Extreme Pro plays significantly stiffer than the Extreme MP. This racquet is great for stronger players that want a bit more weight than the classic tweener frames, but like the added power that is produced.
