Babolat Aero Pro Team GT Racquet Review

100 square inches, 16 x 19 string pattern.

The new Aero Pro Team GT feels like a feather, weighing in at a mere 9.9 ounces unstrung. But despite the low weight, it still hits like a beast.

You’ll have no problem whipping this baby through the strikezone on those rapid-fire reflex volleys or getting around on your teaching pro’s big serve .

This racquet is ideal for beginners, women and young juniors looking to find a frame they can wield effortlessly yet still hit out on without becoming prime candidates for arm fatigue. Like many of the other incarnations of the Aero Pro series, it’s got the mid-plus 100 square inch headsize and 16 x 19 string pattern, which makes it an ideal spin candidate.
This racquet really spoke volumes at the net where its low weight and firm feel were put to excellent use in high putaways and quick back-and-forth exchanges. From the back of the court, this racquet still ploughed through the court with ease.

In the hands of a crafty spin maestro, this racquet could make life miserable for opponents. The superior maneuverability of this frame makes placement and targeting a simpler task.

I don’t often play with a racquet this light, but the Aero Pro Team GT made me revise my thinking about what lightweight frames are capable of.
