The Cortex system is Babolat’s main comfort technology. Separating the shaft from the handle with a soft, absorbent polymer, Cortex prevents harmful vibrations from reaching the player’s hand and arm. Babolat has two versions of Cortex, designed around the needs of the player. In the Pure series of racquets (Pure Drive and Pure Storm), Cortex reduces racquet vibrations without reducing feedback, providing the player with a "pure feel." In the rest of the line, the Cortex system reduces shock and vibrations even more for maximum comfort.
