The K-Swiss Glaciator features some of K-Swiss’ innovative technology. These shoes are made to keep your feet dry and ventilated. Featured in this shoe is the Fautex moisture management technology which is found in the lining to keep feet dry and cool. A thin metal-mesh lining in the mid-foot runs from the outsole to the upper shoe. The Heat Deflection Core is designed to keep court-surface heat away from your feet. Together these elements are sure to keep your feet on ice and allow you to bring the heat onto the tennis court.
The length and width fit for this shoe are excellent, as this shoe fits like a glove. The heel and mid-foot have a generous fit and is very stable. The arch support is medium, and offers a cushioned ride. This shoe requires a little bit of time to break in due to the ventilation and cooling technologies. DuraFlow uppers combine mesh with a durable poly/nylon covering to create a lightweight, stable, and ventilated shoe. With lightweight EVA and TPU Cushion Board construction, the mid-sole of this shoe is light, yet offers plenty of stability and support. The Shock Spring in the heel and fore-foot are cushioned very well, allowing for extra protection and plenty of maneuverability. On the outside, durable Aosta 7.0 creates a very durable outsole which protects against wear. The DragGuard in the toe and heel areas provide support and increase durability. Traction was great due to the modified herringbone outsole.
Overall this shoe is great, and lives up to its namesake. It keeps your feet dry and very cool. It offers great traction, support, and durability, and at the same time fits great. The comfort level of this shoe is off the chart, and the Heat Deflection Core and Fautex moisture management technology are very well integrated. This shoe is great for tennis players of all levels, and is a must have for players who find their current shoe to be hot and humid.
