Other technology included are the ISS and Abzorb. The ISS, or Internal Support System is a revolutionary internal upper construction that hugs the mid-foot for added support. Abzorb is New Balance’s top of the line foam material with excellent cushioning and compression set properties. Comprised of a blend of Dupont Engage Isoprene rubber and proprietary materials the Abzorb provides the ultimate ride. It absorbs and dampens excessive shock to ones foot, while offering comfort.
Another feature is the Acteva mid-sole which is a superior lightweight foam with exceptional durability. Because Acteva is made with high end Dupont Engage, which is 12% lighter than standard foam, Acteva insures a light and durable mid-sole.
