The Wilson (K)Six-One Team 95 is all of the advanced technologies Wilson offers in its [K]Factor line made user friendly. While it still offers the same racquet [K]ontrol technologies as in the K-Six One 95, the Team alternative is lighter and easier to maneuver and use. The dense string bed, [K]ontour yoke, and [K]ompact center are all main components of this racquet. However unlike its (K)Six-One 95 sister, the team version of this racquet is much easier to handle, and a wonderful choice of racquet for those players who are still not yet ready for the heavy weight mechanics of the newer control racquets.
From the baseline, the (K)Six-One Team 95 offers sharp groundstrokes, that are hit with ease and pin-point accuracy. The dense string bed allows plenty of bite, allowing for deep returns and enough pace to hit those winners. At the net, unlike the (K)Six-One 95 racquet, the team was light enough for me to hit those reaction volleys, which was a plus while playing doubles. Not only was it more maneuverable, but I would highly recommend it for improving juniors or high-school students who are not yet ready to upgrade completely to a control racquet.
All in all, the (K)Six-One Team 95 is a great racquet for those players who are transitioning between racquets. For players with good strokes and fluid swings, the (K)Six-One Team 95 offers all the control and power of the Wilson (K)Six-One 95. Not only is it one of the more easier playable frames in the (K)Six-One family, but it continues to offer the control, stability, and comfort offered by the (K)Six-One Team 95. Bottom line: This racquet is great for improving junior players, and even advanced players can benefit from this racquet’s dense string bed, comfort, control, and maneuverability. |
