Wednesday, October 26, 2011 Tribute to Rafa is Written in the Stars with Nike's New Crew

The Nike Rafa Ace Masters Crew is a popular new addition to Nike’s Rafa Collection, with a cool metallic graphic on the front and back.

But take a closer look, and you’ll see an intricate design with more significance than you might expect. In the midst of those seemingly haphazard scribbles are three hidden symbols. The design is meant to look like constellations of stars, with three constellations representing aspects of Rafael Nadal.

Can you find them?

The bottom left of the design features an outline of Mallorca, Spain—Rafa’s birthplace and the island he calls home. At the top right is the symbol for Gemini, Rafa’s Zodiac sign. At the bottom right, the number 25 for his age.
