Prince Ignite Team EXO3 Racquet Review

From the baseline I was able to hit with plenty of spin and good pop; I loved hitting with this racquet from the baseline. I was able to take a good swing at the ball without losing control. The open string pattern helps generate almost effortless spin with excellent power. The heavy weight allowed me to put the ball where I wanted to on both wings, but the ball did tend to float a bit. Specificity on the backhand both topspin and slicing the ball were easy to do, again generating tons of spin. I did feel that the sweet spot was very small and the racquet itself was a quite unforgiving with miss-hits.
Up at net I found the racquet to be an excellent frame for doubles and volleys. Volleys come off the racquet with a firm and crisp feel and excellent response but it is a bit lower powered. I loved how maneuverable at net it is but again I do have to provide most of the pace. I loved it strung with the energy channels vs. the more traditional grommets; the open ports gave me that added “pop” and comfort.
When serving I found it easy to bring this racquet through the contact zone. My serves had some solid pace to them and I was pleased with the control and power I was getting on the ball with good consistency. Power is for sure generated via racquet swing speed and the open ports also aid with this as well.
I would recommend this racquet for players of 4.0 rating or higher. You do need to have a very precise game as the sweet spot is small and the racquet is unforgiving. This racquet is great for players who would be looking to generate their own pace with long fast groundstrokes.
