PRO KENNEX KI 5X Yellow Tennis Racquet

Like many others I bought a pro kennex to help with elbow problems. I have the racquet strung in natural gut at 52lbs and the feel is fantastic. I have demoed many racquets over the last year and nothing comes close to the comfort and control of the PK. I play seniors tennis and most of the guys are playing with power racquets and I do suffer a bit on the power side. I have lead tape at 3 and 9 o clock to give a bit more power but this does make it a bit head heavy. Overall the best racquet I have ever played with, my only problem is the X version is only avaialable in the US so I cannot source a identical rqt in the UK.

The Ionic Ki 5X Yellow tennis racquet is good frame. Pro Kennex Kinetic technology is quite effective. However, I felt that this racquet could use either more weight, or more of the tiny elements of kinetic mass. The 100 square inch head size made it very easy to find the sweet spot. I am currently using a ninety-five square inch face and I noticed that I was able to hit the ball higher and deeper with the extra area. The additional half an inch in length made the racquet more comfortable for me to hit my one handed backhand. I felt that the added half an inch made a world of a difference as I grabbed the throat with my supportive hand, in comparison to the standard 27 inch long Ionic Ki 5. The semi-open string pattern of 16x20 provided access to spin, which is an absolute necessity in todays game. Overall, I found the racquet to be solid, especially from the baseline. In spite of this, it seemed like the frame just did not have enough weight.
