PRO SUPEX Synthetic Gut Spiral Flex 16G 1.30mm Amber/Gold Spiral

The Spiral Fex initially had good spin and feel and seemed to live up to its reviews. However, the string quickly lost tension stability. Also, I was dissappointed in the durability. The string is probably pretty good if you do not tend to break many strings - it does provide spin and comfort until the string becomes worn.

This string is remarkably similar to Prince Synthetic 16 with Duraflex but at half the price. It is easy to install, playability and durability are excellent. You will be very impressed with the overall value and quality of this string. I will continue to order it as long as it is available.

I am a USTA 3.5 who is likely getting bumped to 4.0 next season FWIW. I read great things about this string, especially when used as the crosses in a hybrid stringing, on a tennis forum and decided to give them a shot. Ive been using Signum Pro Tornado on the mains for about 6 months and before that MSV Focus Hex for about 6 months, both of which were paired with Prince Synthetic Gut w/ Duraflex on the crosses on a Head Microgel Radical OS. Both these hybrids play and feel similarly on my racquet with a slight edge in power going to the Tornado hybrid. I tried a Tornado/Spiral Flex hybrid for a few hours and I just didnt have the same feel as I did with Tornado/Duraflex. My racquet probably had a bit more pop to it but the touch and pocketing feel I had know previously was gone. After about 4 hours of test play I cut out the strings and restrung with Tornado/Duraflex and my racquet was back to normal. Since I played only a few hours with this hybrid I cant comment on its d

Good syn gut string. Used as a cross in hybrid with poly mains. Good durability. Feel and power are consistent with other syn guts such as PSGD, Klip Kicker, or Gosen Micro Sheep. For 2.99, it is a great deal.
