I purchased this racquet mainly because Pete Sampras is my favorite of all time, but once I played with this raquet and then played with other racquets, there's definitely a difference in the precision by which you have to hit the ball. And, there's definitely a difference in how good the sweet spot feels compared to other racquets. This is a 7.0 racquet in my opinion. It's hard to hit the sweet spot, but when you do, wow! This gives me more respect for Sampras too. A player using this racquet has to have great precision. Although it did seem sometimes when I would mishit it,the ball would still clear the net. This racquet has great control.

I have been playing with this racquet since it came out, and I love it. it is in fact very heavy but it has it rewards. at the baseline it is great good control and spin, if you have a fast swing you will get the power. at net it feels very nice, great touch. at serve is very hard to find the spot but unce you get used to it you will be aceing the lines. over all ther k prostaff 88 is a blast. fine work from wilson and pete.
It's alright ...

I've been playing with the Wilson ProStaff Original 85 since 1996. I've tried to find another racket to replace this one many time to no avail. I have 5 of the Original 85's so I am in no hurry. When I saw this new revamped version come out, I thought "wow, they may have something here." But, it was disappointing to me. It feels lighter, and I can definitely feel more flex on this new version.
I am convinced I'll be playing with the Original 85 until I can't play anymore. And by the way, I'm 28 right now ... so I've played with the Original 85 since I was 15.
Woo hoo! Finally~

Finally got my hands on this Racquet and it is a blast to play with. I've been playing tennis for more than ten years and I can appreciate a well made racquet like this one. I tinkered with Sampras old racquet before and this one is a lot more friendlier. Not exactly the type of racquet you would hand to a beginner, but if you got what it takes to handle the sword.. then go for it. I'm surprised they haven't sold out of this already.
this stick is good for me

i liked it alot, but in my opinion this racket wont work for alot of people. the head size is too small and what amazes me is that i played really good, because my original one has a head size of 105. so basically demo before buy.
Swingweight

For those of you interesting in the swingweight, it is 349, so you will want a strong arm for a racquet like this.
