Racquet comes prestrung with Head Synthetic Gut 16g midtension (57lbs). MicroGel technology is the combination of a low density material, called Head MicroGel, with stiff and strong carbon composite fibers to create a racquet with incredible responsive qualities. This will cause the racquet to, upon impact with the ball; uniformly distribute the shock from the impact all around the racquet easing up the pressure on the elbow while also creating an even and superb feel. Also included with this design is a wider than normal head shape that will allow the ball more space to move along the string bed thus creating more spin.
MidPlus:
Similar to previous versions of the Radical (the Flexpoint Radical, the Liquidmetal Radical, the Agassi Radical, etc.), this tennis racquet offers plenty of control with a good amount of spin and a moderately heavy weight plus the enhancements due to the addition of the MicroGel. This is an excellent option for those players with long and fast strokes who are looking for a control oriented racquet that isnt too far on the heavy side.
Oversize:
Dont be fooled by the usage of the word Oversize in connection with this racquet, there is a great amount of control that can be found here. Although it is lighter than the MidPlus, this racquet is still a great choice for advanced players but is also a good option for a wider range of players, especially younger juniors.
We recommend these racquet for players rated NTRP 4.0 and above.
I have always been a loyal Radical fan. Ever since the days of the classic yellow and black, I have always loved this oversized racket.
Switching from the Flexpoint model to the Microgel wasn't really a big deal to me, but it did definitely improve my tennis game.
I definitely noticed a lot more feel when I swing at the tennis balls. My down the line shots and crosscourts are much more accurate and I definitely feel like I can take an aggressive swing without losing any control.
Radicals are perfect for people who love topspin, this model is no exception.
Anyone who's ever been a fan of the Radical needs to give this one a try.
Like the good ole days

I just want to say nice pun to the guy above me. Hilarious. Unlike him, I started out at the LiquidMetal Radical, which WAS my favorite racquet. Now, my favorite racquet is the Microgel Radical. I felt that the Flexpoint and LiquidMetal Radicals were not that similar and that the Microgel truly succeeded the Radical throne.
Awesome

I loved my old liquidmetal radical, it was basically perfect for me. I had big bangers on it which made it alot much better. The switch to microgel was just awesome. I love radicals and microgel just made it even better. I put bangers on this racquet and and it hits like a charm
best feel greatest control

I played tennis at the "A's, Open" level before I quit altogether. Coming back after more than twenty years I found the OS head radical microgel to have the best feel and greatest control on ground strokes and volleys. I added 3 grams of lead tape on the top for more power on serve. I strung the OS with 17 gauge poli and the 18 main strings has kept me from going through a lot of strings.
