NEW BALANCE CT1004W D Width Men`s Tennis Shoes

I found the shoe to be quite comfortable and stable when I moved on the court. I also liked the mesh top because it allows my foot to stay cooler and drier.

I have worn New Balance tennis shoes for many many years playing competitive tennis, and nothing came close to the support and comfort in CT1004 model. Now with NB replacing it with model 1187, a thinner sole shoe, it just does not give you the comfort of CT1004 provides. As the old stocks running out, it behooves me to stock up on them before it becomes a collectors item.

Overall this is a comfortable and well-fitted shoe. I have not had them long enough to see if the mesh fabric will be as durable as the leather New Balance shoes I have bought in the past. But so far, they are great. Good support.

I am very satisfied with the shoes. I play on clay twice a week and have been able to feel a significant difference versus NB 604s that I used for a long, long time.

My son is a top USTA ranked junior and has been wearing NB since he was a boy with wide feet. He has been wearing CT1004 since it was introduced. It provides comfort, support and performance, especially important because he has fractured his L5 vertebrae and needs proper cushioning; he plays almost every day and values the extra rubber sole around the toe.

This is the first tennis shoe Ive bought in the last twenty years or more that I didnt have to break in. I played in them the first time I put them on and didnt get any blisters or pain. Highly recommended.

This is an excellent pair of tennis shoes for clay court. Ive been using this brand of tennis shoe for the past 8 to 10 years. I would NOT buy any other shoe to play at clay. Best regards!

Shoes fits well, is stable, and has good heel cushioning. However, if you look at the sole there are 2 transverse grooves extending all the way across the shoe. I can feel both grooves which isnt right. There should be more padding in the forefoot area. Its not so bad that I will return the shoe, but I would not buy it again.

My husband has worn a variety of tennis playing shoes and rarely has recommended the shoe he's wearing to anyone, but this shoe is different and he has suggested it to others. He likes the weight of the shoe and it's comfortable for his wide foot. He wore out the first two pairs too quickly on hard courts because he drags his toe when serving, but they still held up better than just about anything else he has worn. When it came time to get another pair of shoes he went back to this one even though he squirmed to pay the higher price.

I just ordered my third pair! I play four times per week. The shoes are comfortable and sturdy. They last for about 10 months of heavy use before falling apart.

I was disappointed when I saw the Made in China tag and not USA. I mainly purchased New Balance in the past because they were the only tennis shoes made in the USA. I like this tennis shoe, but will probably go with Adidas next.

This is my second pair. I play on the Florida Green Clay and this is an excellent shoe. It's lightweight too! The main reason I buy this shoe is the comfortable D width. Most other brands of shoes are too narrow for my feet!

Having owned several pair of New Balance 1002 model shoes I liked the solid feel and stiff sidewalls of New Balance tennis shoes. The 1004 was on sale (well, its always on sale) so I ordered a pair from tennis express. I wore them once on the court and found them to be floppy with poor side support. In particular there is a small grey patch on the outside just behind the small toe which is very soft and spongy. This is where I put a lot of lateral load on my shoe and I found myself rolling my ankle with this shoe.
