The Penn ATP tennis ball is the #1 choice of ATP players and the offical ball of the ATP. Penn ATP features tournament-grade felt and technical grade rubber core for precise bounces. The ball also features Smart Optik felt, which is 19% brighter than the regular felt. The brighter felt enhances accuracy due to increased visibility and lets your have additional time to prepare your shots. The Extra Duty felt is more durable in order to withstand the abrasive nature of hard courts. Also available is the Penn ATP Regular Duty tennis ball for clay or indoor courts. The Penn ATP Extra Duty tennis ball is USTA and ITF approved.

Alot of balls at a great price
User: Carol Pardee, NJ
We purchased a case of for our ball machine. Great deal!
Great quality/long lasting
User: Bassim Sohrab, California
After trying quite a few different balls for a hard court club player, none last as long as the extra durable ATP penn balls. They have a very good feel and keep their bounce for longer than others. The one draw back is they are not the softest feeling balls, but for the durability and quality, they are a great balance.
So far so good

Last year, a different vendor shipped us a case of balls different line of Penn in which every third can contained unlively balls upon opening. We decided to try switching providers. We are only 5 cans into this new case so far, but all have opened up fresh and bouncy, and held up well in play. My wife and her teammates and opponents USTA 3.0 to 4.0 have been satisfied with every ball, every can. We are happy with this brand, line, and provider.

The Penn ATP heavy duty balls are absolutely the best bright color, wear very well.
The Best for you

Penn ATP Extra Duty Balls
User: topspin999, NY
These balls are fantastic. Our weekly mens doubles group plays 3 or 4 sets on hard court with one canister without any appreciable decline in performance. The color is bright, the weight is neutral, and the bounce lasts longer than any other ball that we have used. This is a high quality ball and I see no reason to use any other. Good going Penn!
These are the worst
User: Robert Stent, Massachusetts
I bought a case to last me the summer. I have opened four cans of balls. Every can has had one ball lose pressure before two sets of tennis had been played. I am terribly disappointed in Penn. They used to be my go-to provider for tennis balls.
ATP Tennis Balls
User: Alan Knowles, CA
Very pleased with the felt durability and firmness of the ATP Extra Duty balls. These balls are far superior to the Dunlop Gran prix balls for outdoor courts. They maintain pressure and visability better than any ball Ive used.
User: S. Wright, WA
These are definitely my go-to balls and are rapidly becoming the favorite at my club. They hold their bounce through multiple matches. We often prefer a can of these that has been open and used for weeks to a can of another brand that was used only once the day before the match.

Longer lasting than the US Open ball
Balls were a little flat
User: Adam Gorgoni, California
Dont normally post reviews but since you asked.... I ordered a case of Penn ATP Tour tennis balls. The first can I tried seemed a little flat, but that can happen. But I tried a few more and they were all not up to standards. Dont know if they had been in the warehouse too long or what, but I had to return the rest of the case. Bit of a pain. I will say that the Tennis Express return person who I talked to on the phone was very nice.
ATP Penn Balls
User: Jennifer Oyoung, California
Ive been ordering the ATP Extra Duty Balls from TE for the past 2 years and they are money well spent. They are brighter and can survive 3, even 4 sets. Some of my friends purchase cases of balls at the warehouse stores and although the prices are lower, often times, the balls seem tired. The only other balls I like to play with are the Pro Penns.
User: Ben Wilson, AZ
The Penn ATP ball is clearly a brighter ball. That extra brightness helps me keep my eye on the ball. Even in the dusty environment of the desert, these balls stand out.
No Other Ball
User: Wil Barwick, South Carolina
Let me start by saying I HATE DEAD BALLS. For hard court play theres no ball on the market that outperforms the Penn ATP Extra duty. Its brighter after three sets of play than any other new unplayed ball. They have as much bounce after three sets as most other balls new out of the can. After three sets of play, you can stick the balls in your bag and use them for warm-up five days later and not feel like youre hitting dead balls because youre not. If you love competitive tennis, theres no reason to use bad balls. NTRP 3.5 doubles player

High quality tennis balls, last longer than the standard PENN extra duty balls. Can play with them a second time and dont go flat as soon.

Consensus Best Ball
User: Steve de la Torre, CA
Penn ATP ED balls are no question the best ball out there. I have dozens of partners that agree with me. The only one close is the Pro Penn which is a little more expensive and I dont find as durable. These balls give twice the life on the felt coversand stenciled logo/numbers relative to the basic Penn or especially Wilson. A bonus is the brighter optical color, which makes the ball easier to track. This ball is worth every cent, cost wise, over the competition including other Penns. Twice the durability sounds like hype - it isnt. If you havent tried them, you will definitely agree that this is objectively a better ball.
I like these the best!
User: DM, TX
I always choose the Penn ATP extra duty because 1 there is never any construction imperfections, 2 they always bounce perfectly and consistently, and 3 the felt and bounce durability are excellent for advanced hitters. Thanks Penn!
Excellent Tennis Balls
User: Anthony Germano, NY
After trying several different brands over the years the Penn ATPs stand out. I like the color of the ball and the durability is excellent. Cost for the case is reasonable also. I play in a once-a-week doubles league and have had other players comment on the Penn ATP balls saying they also liked the way the balls perform. I had initial concerns when I first started using them because a few strands of the felt would fluff-up upon initial play when taken from the can, but thats it. They dont continue to fluff-up during use. I use them for match play then throw them in my ball machine for practice sessions and they do well there also. A great choice of ball.
