Solid racket

Prior to this racket I had been using a basic oversized $20 Modell's racket. I read great reviews on this racket so I thought it would work well. I'm happy with this racket, but I haven't noticed a huge difference in my performance. I do seem to get consistent shots, but my forehand is no better or worse. My backhand is more consistent. It hasn't been a miracle racket, but it does the job.

The Liquidmetal 8 has an amazing feel to it - It is light and I added lead tape to give it more power and it still has a head-light feel to it - With it strung at 58 lbs it has great grip on the ball for topspin serves and is also great for a big flat serve. Playing doubles on Hard-Tru you need a racquet you can whip around quickly and still generate power. The touch on this racquet is just great for lobs and drop volleys and a lot of power can be gererated with big sweeping groundstrokes - just great! - Nothing like the "warclub" feel and momentum of other racquets
