Tennis string savers are installed in between the intersections of the strings in the stringbed. This prevents the strings from moving and rubbing against each other. String savers not only increase string durability, but also improve a racquet's performance. The added "roughness" to the stringbed bites the ball for more spin, while the more stable stringbed allows for added control.
