With current string technology, thicker (i.e. 15 and 16-gauge) is not always better. While thin string may not last quite as long as its more substantial counterparts, it can provide several benefits including improved playability, increased comfort, and better spin potential. Depending on your game style, a switch to thinner string may be just what the doctor ordered. |

This is exactly what Alien has done with their Black Diamond 1.30mm co-polyester string. The only string and gauge made, is it a calculated risk based on the incredible performance of their product, or purely poor business practice?
