Description

Tecnifibre Black Code 16g(1.28mm) is Tecnifibre`s first geometric string offering durability and increased spin. Utilizing a co-polyester core, this string possesses excellent durability with greatly enhanced tension maintenance and feel. Black Code 16 features a pentagonal profile, helpful for generating more spin as the string bites into the ball better. The string uses Tecnifibre's exclusive ThermoCore technology which serves two primary purposes. String-to-string friction is greatly reduced, enhancing durability and further promoting spin and ease of stringing. The ThermoCore technology also gives the string greater flexibility for more power and a softer feel. An excellent choice from all areas of the court with enhanced spin, good power, and a softer feel.

Construction: Extruded polyester monofilament

Color: Black

Gauge: 1.28mm (16g)

Length: 12.2 m (40 ft)

Excellent string
5/5
I bought this string when another brand was back ordered. I am happy to report I did. The control, spin, power and comfort are excellent. Great ball bite. It is like gut only much more durable and cheaper.

Good co-poly choice
4/5
I really like this co-poly hexagonal string. I get very good spin and like the feel. I string my stick at 60 and feel it holds up tension pretty well even after playing against some very hard hitters. Very satisfied!

Black Code Great Choice
4/5
I've been using black code strings for quite a while now, and I'm very satisfied with its performance. Before this I used Babolat Hurricane Pro, which was a similar string, but the black code has more feel and more bite to it. This string makes spin very accessible and is forgiving if you don't catch the ball right in the sweetspot.

Excellent spin and good power. Somewhat softer than the Pro Hurricane Tour. Need the 16 gauge to get a week or two of play - 17 gauge lasts no more than a few sets. Strung at 55 or 56 in Aeropro Drive GT.

I have been using this string for over a year now, and I am very pleased with performance. It allows for a great spin and power and the same time. It is extremely durable, and it keeps its tension for a long time. I would strongly recommend trying it...

big fan, comfort and spin
5/5
Tried this after reading many, many reviews of different string. As promised, easy on the arm for a monofilament, but still offers excellent spin. Several balls have been watched helplessly by opponents on expectation they would sail long, only to drop in. Love it. Durability seems great with the 16g, so next will try the 17g.

Great performance!
4/5
My son used this on the mains with another string on the crosses as a hybrid and really liked the feel. It had great performance with top spin and control, but I dont know how long it would last on its own, because the cross strings broke so quickly....didnt last more than a week. Im sure this string would have been fine for longer.

This string had a pretty good bite on the ball. How ever the tension only lasted 5 hours of hitting. The textured shape of the string didnt last long either it lasted just as long if not shorter than the tension.

Love this string

I have used many different types of poly string, but I prefer Technifibre Black Code to RPM Blast, in particular. I feel that it has just a bit more life on contact than similar strings.

Great string, elbows beware
3.33333333333/5
I had some trouble getting used to this string. But when I did, I loved it. You can really hit out and the balls, with any top spin, still plunge downward at near the end of their flight, thanks to the enormous amount of spin these strings impart. Slice backhands for the same reason, sailed long at first, but after adjustments in my swing, really bit and stayed low. Serves with a little topspin and a lot of pace were really effective. The only problem is that after 6 months playing 3-5 times a week with this string I have the first case of tennis elbow in 20 years of playing. Darn. They were in Wison Steam 99 racquets at about 45 lbs.
