The advancement over their own Multi Feel string, the Tecnifibre XR-1 16 takes advantage of the same mono-core but increases the number of surrounding fibers to 1125. Taking advantage of the larger core, this string is designed to maintain tension better than traditional multifilaments while also giving a crisper feel at contact. Along with the more consistent playability, this is still a string designed for comfort as the XR-1 core is surrounded by smaller fibers bonded together with PU 400 which offers unmatched comfort and resiliency for added power. Our testing staff found that this string played with similar pace to traditional multifilaments while offering a slightly firmer feel and longer lasting playability.
