VOLKL Organix 8 300G Tennis Racquet
List Price: $230.00 Sale Price:
$179.99
In cooperation with renowned Fraunhofer Institute, the Volkl Organix 8 utilizes research in the field of organic materials such as carbon and cellulose to create an uncommonly comfortable all around racquet. With a forgiving 100 sq. in. headsize and moderate 10.6 ounce unstrung weight, this seemingly traditional tweener racquet features numerous technologies specifically designed to increase the comfort and feel at impact. Advancing the previous DNX carbon nanotube material, the Organix 8 has used the nanotubes to coat cellulose, a material derived from plants, which offers increased flexibility and vibration dampening to lessen shock. Using information from studies on how the eye works, the new Organix line also includes the Optispot system, which utilizes contrasting colors along the inside of the frame to train the eye to focus on the center of the sweetspot. The idea behind this is that the eye notices contrast more so than similar colors, and by focusing on the sweetspot, more consistent shots will result, improving both overall performance, and lessening potential arm issues. The former Sensor handle system has also been replaced with the new Bio Sensor system, which takes advantage of the mass dampener pendulum concept that helps skyscrapers avoid damage from natural disasters such as earthquakes. The way this works is that when an incoming wave of shock heads towards the players arm, the weighted pin inside the handle moves, creating a counter wave, effectively decreasing the amplitude of the incoming shock. Designed for players of all styles, this racquet is best suited to intermediate to advanced players with medium to fast swings. With both stability and maneuverability, this is one of the most comfortable and versatile racquets on the market.
