WILSON BLX Tour Tennis Racquet

I am a intermediate player/ weekend warrior. High side of a 3.5. 43yrs. old I needed a new racquet so I did the research and tried a few out. I didnt demo the BLX tour but when I read the reviews and saw it was half off I decided to go ahead and get one. I am glad I did! What a great racquet for all around performance. It feels great, its light but has great plow through, maneuverable and does well from serves to volleys. I am very happy with it. I feel its a pro racquet that a weekend warrior, like me, can play very well with. I strung it with Babolat Pro Hurricane 16 and Xcel 17 @ 58lbs.

I found the weight and balance of this Wilson to benefit my groundstrokes. The BLX tour felt very neutral off both wings. it provides a very predictable response off the stringbed. After a short adjustment period I loved it from the ground so much that it has become a racquet that I would seriously consider buy a pair. A hybrid of a low tensioned poly main and softer cross string provided great ball pocketing. Has and excellent control over the net.

The Wilson BLX Tour has to be one of the greatest tennis rackets ever made by Wilson, or any other maker for that matter. Light with a heavy SW of 340 made it a very solid, and comfortable racket that packed a punch!! I own 3 of these and are strung with Wilson K-Gut 16 @ 56lbs. It is great for baseline bashing, returning serves, and serving. Decent at the net. At the current price of $99, its the BEST deal in town. I know that there are a few new rackets coming out like the Steam, Pro Staff 6.1, and the Juice and you might be tempted in getting one of these, but think it over. The Wilson BLX Tour is simply a treat to play with! The new BLX Tour is going to have just about identical specs as this one except that it will be wider at 25mm in comparison to 22mm for the current Tour. But, honest folks, get this one!!

Great hitting racquet. Has good power and no vibration. Would highly reccomend.

I love this racket. For anyone who is looking for a 95 frame, this is the one. I used to play with a Wilson Hammer for some 20 years and when I couldnt find them anymore, then the BLX became the perfect replacement. The racket gives me a lot of power but also is nice with the touch shots since I string my rackets at about 42 pounds. Also, the price came down substantially so it is a terrific bargain.

Bought for my 18 yr old son. He loves the weight and control from this racket. String with RPM blast string for his hard hitting and it is great.

Great feel, just like the Six.One Tour BLX that I use, but lighter and easier to use. I like the balance on the BLX Tour better than the Six.One, and Im able to put much more spin on the ball with less effort. Very happy with this racket!

Having played with the six.one 95 16x18, I was looking for a racquet with a little more power, yet with still the same amount of control. This racquet seemed to have it all. The near perfect balance in weight distribution, and the longer length made this racquet a masterpiece for me. On my volleys, I was able to manuever this racquet faster, hitting sharp angles and drop volleys with ease.

I had been using the Hyper Hammer 6 for many years, and decided it was time to get a new racket. I demoed a ton and this one was by far the best. This racket is a stable, all-court racket. I am generally a baseliner with a full, fast swing who comes to the net mainly to put the ball away. This racket generates nice clean balls with lots of spin without kicking them long. Volleys are solid, and with the smaller head size you dont get as much twisting if you catch a ball off-center. My serves are wonderful with the racket, which is something I could never quite get out of the Hammer. Two things to note - the factory grip on this racket is slightly larger than others of the same size. Also my balls seem to move slower than before even though they get the same depth. I think maybe its because the racket is a softer feel than Im used to.

My second BLX...continues to deliver - consistent response and remarkably powerful in a very light racquet. Real winner!

I just bought this racket, after demoing it. I was using the K Blade Team before, and this is much better, tons more feel and control, and I can get a lot of power when I want. I demoed almost 20 rackets (all of them were Wilson or Babalot) and this surpassed all of them by far. I got it strung with Babalot RPM Blast 17g, which I would recommend if you have a powerful swing. They are also best if you are playing someone who has powerful strokes.

This is a raw raquet.Agreat overall performer from wilson. I played with the nblade and k pro open and this is z best with a poly string like lux or kirschbaum
