WILSON Red Alert 16G Tennis String

Players seeking a more durable synthetic gut option will want to check out the new Wilson Red Alert 16, formulated to be over twice as durable as other synthetic gut strings. Advancing the typical nylon monofilament core design, this string uses high molecular weight nylon for the core, which provides additional strength as the already high strength to weight ratio is increased by the use of significantly longer chains. This also causes Red Alert to play slightly stiffer than typical synthetic guts, providing more control and slightly less elasticity. A unique addition to the string is the use of an alternating series of shaped outerwraps, which provide a crisp feel, as well as microtexture to the string for additional ball bite.
