One of the first multifilament strings to be produced, Wilson Sensation 16 remains popular among players of all levels thanks to its combination of feel and playability. This one features a multifilament core utilizing Dupont Zycro Micro-Fibers surrounded by a series of outerwraps. The Zycro fibers help to increase the sweetspot size and reduce vibration for greater comfort. Sensation will play slightly stiffer than Wilson NXT, due to the outerwraps, which helps to increase the durability of the string by protecting the microfiber core. This is a solid string choice for players seeking comfort and overall playability at a great price.

Great Strings

After using Luxilon ALU Power Rough 16 Gauge for both mains and crosses for a while, Ive been looking for strings to help get back some feel to my shots and ease the stress on my wrist. I experimented with lots of strings, including some very expensive natural gut options. Finally, I tried Wilson Sensation 16 and it has been bliss ever since. Soft and durable, the Sensation 16 string provides the perfect compliment to the stiff Luxilon strings that I keep on the mains. As cross strings, the Sensation strings really balance out the stiffness of the Luxilon without sacrificing the spin that Ive relied on. If youve been experiencing problems with your wrists, elbows or shoulders from using Luxilon on both mains and crosses, this Sensation 16 on the crosses may help you with your problems just as it did for me.

For the money an excellent all around string. Buy a reel and its an excellent value. The string seems to hold tension well, is easy to string with and offers good control and feel. Solid playing, no-frills string

The Sensation has been a solid performing string for many years -- nothing fancy, just plain good performance. Easy on the arm and a particularly good choice to use on the crosses of a poly hybrid. Compare to a higher priced synthetic such as Gamma Prof or Wilson NXT --- better strings in my opinion, but if you can't tell the difference, stick w/ Sensation.
