The world's most popular multifilament string, Wilson NXT 17 features a thinner gauge for more power and spin, at the expense of some durability. This string has numerous followers thanks to its combination of comfort and playability. The addition of the patented Dupont Xycro Micro-Fibers helps to increase the sweetspot size and reduce vibration for greater arm comfort. Rated the #1 synthetic in playability by the USRSA in 1999, this string has remained popular and continues to gain new followers. The multifilament construction is coated with a polyurethane resin coating to seal the delicate fibers to enhance durability. The resin material also helps to soften the feel of the string, providing comfort and power. This is a great string to try for anyone with tennis elbow, as well as anyone seeking natural gut like performance from a synthetic construction.
Construction: Multifilament polyamide

Tennis Express Reviews
I love this string! It has a very soft feel and great spin potential. This is a great choice for a hybrid string set up. I use MSV Focus Hex in the mains (59) and the Wilson NXT in the crosses (62). This all connects with the Head Prestige Mid which is the stick I've been using for six years now. I recommend the 16 gauge which is what I use now, because the 17 would break in under three hits. I'm a solid 4.5 player who is very particular about strings. It has taken me a while to find my favorite set up and this is it!
Wilson NXT 17 Gauge String
Nice feel, good spin, easy on the arms--the string I always use (old name was NXT Sensation)...17 gauge gives me more spin than 16 gauge, but 16 breaks less.
Love the Wilson NXT 17 String
This is fantastic string. All of the pros at our club recommend it. It's soft and provides wonderful touch as well as amazing power.
Best String Ever
I am 66 years old, and love playing singles tennis, but I don't want my arm to do all the work. NXT 17 is easy on my arm. The ball "pops" off the string with tremendous power, and I can control where it's going. It's simply the best string I'ver ever played with. What more can a tennis player ask for?
Wilson NXT 17
The strings have both power and touch. They transfer a good top spin and have a nice pop to them. In league play they quickly proved to be naturally playable.
Wilson NXT 17
These strings were recommended by the salesperson when I ordered my racquet and I'm very pleased with their performance. I would order them again.
I like this string!
Okay, it does break a little more than the 16, but the results are worth it. Great feel for touch shots and also plenty of pace.
NXT STRING 17
This string is very good, I get a lot of control and I am able to mix up my shot selection much better. I liked that I was able to customize my racket with such a wide variety of stings to select from.
General comments.......plays better in moderate temperatures. I carry four racquets and string them from 58 to 62 to help adjust for temp. Recommend pre-stretching before stringing and taking a little more time with the frame on the machine get a good stretch on the strings. Wears SUBSTANTIALLY better at 60 #s stringing tension. As 10 year + user, think the string is a little overpriced, but not horribly. Use 40-50 sets a year and rarely cut out a set as it plays pretty well til it breaks, which, as a 17g string is usually pretty quickly for 4.5 - 5.5 players.
Wilson NXT 17
I use this string as a hybrid with Luxilon on a Head Racket. Gives me a little more pop with good control.

I really love these strings. Ive been using them for a little over a year and I never thought Id ever be able to tell the difference in the strings in my racket. One time I went back to the old strings and had them re-done in less than 2 weeks of play. Couldnt believe the difference! These are so easy to play! I wish they were a little less costly by the time I add in the cost of the stringing, Im almost to $40. and since I play 4 times a week at least and need to restring every 3 months because the strings are showing a lot of wear by then, it adds up. But being able to play without pain is worth the cost.
This is my string of choice. I love the crisp feel and power and control are great. I wish that it did not fray so quickly.
wilson NXT String
String recomended by Tennis Express for new racquet and my playing style. Feels great to hit with.
Wilson NXT 17
I was lookign for a string that would be a little easier on my elbow and had spoken with a friedn who is a pro and this was one of the stirngs rhe recommended. I read the TE customer reviews ans well and decided to give it a try and really love this stirng. It is definitely an upgrade form the string i was playign with before and a little more expensive but its worth it.I really liek ti, I am playing some of my best tennis ever so Ill give the stirng some of the credit for that as it has increased feel and spin and I hit a lot of topspin. It breaks a little more often then what I was using so I buy a couple of packs at a time but its pretty durable all the same. Definitely recommend it!

Tennis elbow relax!
Really much better in terms of vibration control.
wilson nxt 17
I use this string as my mains in my head os radical. I have tried numerous string combinations over the years. This with luxilon on the Xs gives me both the power and control I cant get with other strings
This is one of the best playing tennis strings that I have ever used and I have tried over 100 different brands and models. While it may be a bit low on the durability and tension side, it more than makes up for it in playability.
Wilson NXT 17 -- Gives an outstanding player qaulity first because of its feel off the ball like no other and second because of longevity throughout the life of the string until next stringing
Great Strings--Never thought Id be able to tell one string from another but my elbow certainly can! Very comfortable.
While this string is soft and good for the arm, the string life is very short. I will use a new string when these break which should not be very long. I play once per week and do not expect these to last more than two and a half months.
Wilson nxt 17
I like the Wilson NXT string because it is easy on my wrist and elbow. The only problem is it does not last long and I am not a big hitter and I use only some topspin.

NXT 17 Is Coachs Choice
I have played tennis competitively for nearly 35 years now and have taught tennis professionally for twenty-five years of those years. I have used Wilson NXT 17 almost exclusively for the past 10 years. It is a very responsive string offering great feel and control. I recommend it to all my students, especially those who have tennis elbow or other arm soreness.
I sometimes log in 30+ hours a week of tennis and if I use a stiff string my arm and shoulder will ache from over use. I have tried many strings over the years and Wilson NXT stands head and shoulders above the rest. I wouldnt play with anything else.
Wilson NXT string
I have been playing with Wildon NXT 16 for years. I decided to try the 17 gauge string and I love it. Just like the 16 gauge it is easy on my arm and gives me great control but I love the bite I get when hitting with spin. I would definitely recommend this string.
NXT String 17
I definitely noticed an increased stability to my strings. My old ones were pretty worn out so the ball contact is 100% better. I had to get used to the tension but it did not take long.
High quality multifiliment string
My wife 4.5 on the court, 5.5 off will only use this string in 17 gauge. This is a very high quality multifiliment string that lasts her easily 3 months. She loves its power, feel and tension holding characteristics. Hard or spin hitters will break it fairly often. Ive 4.5 on and off the court used 16 gauge in a polyester hybrid and its worked very well.
NXT STring 17
I am still getting used to the feel of a new racquet but these strings are doing exactly what I hoped for. Im getting the power I want as well as the control I need to play at the level I have settled into.
I have used these strings for years and have always been satisfied. Paid extra $3 for express stringing and racquet was ready in just an hour.
Very good performance
As an above-average senior age player, these strings work very well for my game...a lot of zip without losing control.
I have used Wilson NXT 17 strings for several years. The 17 gauge plays really well with better feel and spin than the 16 gauge. The price at Tennis Express is reasonable and delivery from their stock was on-time as advertised.
I was happy to reduce the overall cost of stringing by buying the strings myself getting exactly what I wanted and paying separately for having the strings installed so I purchased 4 packages.
High Performance String
I am a 5.5 level senior player who plays tournaments and good quality club tennis, singles and doubles. I have used the Wilson NXT 17 for several years and find that it provides excellent feel, power and spin. I particularly like the 17 gauge which might wear out faster than the 16 gauge but has noticeably better playability in my opinion.
I highly recommend this string and the service from Tennis Express was excellent in all respects.

Wilson NXT 17 strings
Love these strings. Never thought Id get to the point where I could tell the difference but these strings make it so.
review of strings
awful..hate the stringing..had to get the racket restrung!
Not lively enough. Had to swing hard to get over net.
Resstringing of Racquet
As always the products and service at Tennis Express that I have been shopping for 15 years now was excellent once again.
Very good string performance
I have used this string for many years playing at a tournament level and the thinner 17 gauge gives much better performance than the 16 gauge even though there is some reduction in string life.
The order handling and shipment performance by Tennis Express was excellent as usual.
Excellent playability string
I am a 4.5 level club and senior tournament player and have been using Wilson NXT17 stringing for several years. I enjoy the excellent playability of the 17 gauge string. Although it does not last as long the 16 gauge the feel is so much better that it is my preference.

At the outset the string was perfect! I had my racket strung at the purchase point with this string. I asked for 58 lbs. The 1st 2 times I used my new racket sting combo I was blown away with both power and feel. The tension dropped way off there after to the point where I was constantly fiddling with the strings between points to keep the strings in the sweet spot. My fingers feel like I just started playing the guitar again. There is obviously way more stretch in the NXT vs.the NXT Power. The ware is much improved but the string movement is unacceptable.
