Description

For 2011, the new Babolat OverDrive 110 brings a cosmetic update to the popular offering from the previous Drive Z line. With a light 9.2 ounce unstrung weight, this racquet is extremely nimble at net, providing plenty of maneuverability for quick exchanges while the head heavy balance ensures excellent stability from the baseline. The OverDrive 110 is powered by Elliptical Geometry, which means that the beam cross section is rounded for greater energy return and maximum repulsion for additional power. Enhancing comfort and forgiveness is the Cortex technology, which sits at the interface of the throat and the handle. The innovative design of Cortex allows it to dampen and filter unwanted high frequency vibrations while not impeding low frequency vibration. The result is a racquet that offers excellent feel with added comfort. The oversize head provides a large, forgiving sweetspot and excellent power. Recommended for players with compact swings looking for power and comfort, this racquet is at home anywhere on the court.

Babolat Overdrive 110!
5/5
This racquet is awesome!!! The perfect amount of power and great control. I am a 3.5 player and I think this racquet does the job!!! I also have the New Prince EXO3 110 Blue. It's also great, but I feel like I get more control with this racquet. The same amount of power with both. I like the extra length with this racquet and string pattern more compared to the Prince EXO3 Blue 2011... I currently use Babolat XCEL Power 17G with both and I can't say anything bad about this string, it is great!! Also, the Babolat Overdrive 110 looks way cooler than the Prince EXO3 Blue!!!

So far I love this racquet. I needed to replace a head Metallix 6 and probably tried a couple dozen frames over the past year. Comfortable feel with excellent control and adequate power for competitive 4.0 league and tournament play. Solid volleys and spin friendly from all areas of the court. This frame is quick at net and powerful on the serve, but has enough touch for drop shots.

This is a great racquet for those with a slower swing pattern. It has plenty of power for groundstrokes as well as good feel for volleys. Its great for serving as well. I will try a different string next time.

Babolat Overdrive Review
5/5
I was looking for a replacement for my Babolat Pure Drive 110 Racquet which Babolat had discontinued. I purchased the Babolat Pure Drive 107 with the same strings and tension as before thinking that it would play similar to what I had become accustomed. I was disappointed. It did not have the same firm feel or power. I purchaed the overdrive 110 and although not recommended, I strung it at 61 lbs, and now I have the play, feel, and pop of my old raquet. I am a 4.0 player and this racquet is light enough to get the racquet up and out for volleys and returns.

Best racquet ever
5/5
I love the new Babolat. I love the big sweet spot, the 110 size is very maneuverable and the weight distribution is perfect. It is one of the best racquets I have had. I have been playing for 30 years and am playing at a 4.5 level. It is definitely a solid racquet with lots of power! Cant wait to order another one. Also the stringing from Tennis Express was great - they even put a stringing label on the frame - excellent customer service.

Was concerned that the large head size would be unwieldly but quite the opposite. Great balance in head of racket offering nice power and yet control. Very nice racket for intermediate player.

This racquet stood out amongst the 4 demo racquets I tried out from Tennis Express. Considering it is only slightly bigger than the Prince EXO Red I used to play with, it has significantly more punch for the same stroke. All users will need to improve their top spin stroke to make sure the ball stays in play because it is a very powerful racquet. I also had to change racquet dampener style from the little round ones to the ones that span the bottom of the racquets strings. Otherwise, the pinging gave me the impression that I was mishitting the ball even though I wasnt. I just love it !!

This racquet has a lot of power. You need to be able to apply some spin when using it, or you will find that your shots will go long. Keep your string tension in the recommended range and you will be fine. I am very satisfied with it.

I played with Wilson Hammer racquets for years, finally broke the last one, and got several demos including this one. None of the other companies racquets felt anywhere near as responsive and properly weighted as this one. One day I let my wife try mine while her Head was being restrung; now she owns one, too, and the Head stays in the bag.

This is my third Babolat so I have some understanding of the power of this raquet. Since using my new racquet my backhand has improved dramatically. I feel like I am able to hit shots with more finesse and direction. I absolutely love the strings -infact I never want to change. I recommend it to anybody who likes to hit the ball hard. Its great!

Love My Bboy Babolat
5/5
I am a 4.0 club player woman who has always preferred an oversized head. I like the feel of power in my racquet for serving and in general. I think the Babolat is the perfect racquet for me. I has a large sweet spot and even if you can barely get to a ball that racquet makes sure to get it back in the court. At first I strung it too light on the tension and it had less control on my ground strokes for singles. So I ended up stinging hybrid at 2+ the midline and It is a fantastic mix of control and power. I hit most shots as driving shots with not a lot of top spin and it really is a great racquet for this. Not sure how it would perform if you had a lot of top spin in your stroke. I would think this racquet would be great for beg- int adv players as well as older players.
