Description

Tecnifibre Black Code 18(1.18mm) is the thinnest gauge of the Black Code family. Offering the highest spin potential and less durability in comparison. Utilizing a co-polyester core, this string possesses excellent durability with greatly enhanced tension maintenance and feel. Black Code 18 features a pentagonal profile, helpful for generating more spin as the string bites into the ball better. The string uses Tecnifibre`s exclusive ThermoCore technology which serves two primary purposes. String-to-string friction is greatly reduced, enhancing durability and further promoting spin and ease of stringing. The ThermoCore technology also gives the string greater flexibility for more power and a softer feel. An excellent choice from all areas of the court with enhanced spin, good power, and a softer feel.

Construction: Extruded polyester monofilament

Color: Black

Gauge: 1.18 mm (18g)

Length: 12.2 m (40 ft)

You Have to Know Your Tension

I really like this string, it's easy on the arm while still providing the kind of spin only a poly can provide. My only problem is with finding the exact right tension. I have come to the conclusion that with certain racquets and string there are going to be magic tensions that really bring out the qualities in the string. For instance on my new BLX 95 18820, I have a little lead in the head and some to balance in the grip. However, one set I strung at 55 and hated it, but moved up to 58 on the next string job and there was the magic. So, you can take that theory or not, either way this is a very solid string for an 18g poly.

I used a lot of string, but this one is elbow friendly and last me for about 2 months, definitely not change string anymore I use this with a hybrid combo with Technifibre NGR2 17, very good feel.

This string plays very friendly on the elbow. I found very comfortable. I've tried playing with Luxilon M2 16 ga., but i found the feel to be muted. This is more lively and gives more feedback.
