GAMMA Dura Guard
This head tape looks great at first since it's clear and brand new, but once it's scuffed up a little it becomes very unsightly and will need constant replacement. I found the Wilson Racket saver much better as far as wear and tear and it maintains it's look even after a few scuffs.
Dura Guard Head Tape
If you're as anal as I am about caring for your equipment, this tape is great. It's clear, so it's not distracting. I recommend 2 layers if you're serious about not wanting to nick up your frame. I'm a 4-4.5 player, and my frames look like new after 2 years.
Saves my kids racquet!
I got this for my son who just throws his racquet around. This is saving the strings from an untimely re-stringing. The clear allows the original red and black of the head to shine forth. Great stuff!
This is an excellent product. It actually last longer and gives equal or better protection than the solid black head tape that I have used for many years. And it does not become frayed with strings hanging off like the black kind. Not that it matters, but it looks better on the racket too.
I highly recommend you try this head tape.
dura guard racquet tape clear
Loved the tape. It protected my racquet without covering up the color and style of my racquet.
Clear tape with moderate performance.
The tape is nice because its clear. However, its not as durable as the gauze headtape. Once the racket hits the ground, the court penetrates through the tape and to the racket, even on light scrapes. This somewhat defeats the purpose of the tape.
Dura guard RAcquet Tape Clear
I like the wilson racquet tape guard better. I only bought the dura guard racquet tape clear because the wilson was out of stock at that time.
The clear tape is great. But, after removing the tape the glue from tape remains on the racquet. Its not as durable as the gauze headtape. Once the racket hits the court, the court penetrates through the tape on to the racket, which somewhat defeats the purpose of the tape.
I care about my rackets and this product really helped me to not damage the frames

Dura Guard Racquet Tape
Great product that is barely noticable and protects the head of the racquet and your strings. Best thing is that you are not advertising for yet another product. It works!
Great product keep you from scratching your racquet on the ground.
gamma racquet head tape
More feet of tape on this roll than other brands and at a better price. Very satisfied.
Great Dura Guard
Gamma is a top product line, so naturally, if it designs a clear Head Guard Tape, it has already put a lot of thought and testing into it. I like it, and hope they will continue the product. I suggest putting two overlapping strips of tape across the area you desire to protect, which is pictured on the back of the tapes package. I have used it alone, and have also applied colored duct tape over it, which makes the duct tape easy to remove.
Just like dings on a new car, its frustrating to scratch up a new racquet. I use this on my platform tennis paddle as its not uncommon to scar up a paddle in that sport. The stuff works well so far.
This is an OK product. Its like a tough clear electrical tape. I am sure its not a dedicated product made for this purpose. It is too narrow for one piece to actually cover the edge of a modern racquet, so if you use one piece, it protects the top of the racquet were the bumper is, but not the edges of the frame itself. If you use 2 overlapping pieces, it will protect the frame edges, but it will also change youre balance point a few more points positive than a single piece would. Finally, this tape simply isnt very tough. On a hot day, its very soft and wears through after one or two contacts with an asphalt or concrete court.
I would look for one of the clothe based tapes and one a 1/4 to 1/2 inch wider.
Works decent. Doesnt prevent nicks. Not that thick.
I scatch the head and sides of my racquet lunging for soft, short balls and on drop volleys. This helps protect the raquet really well without messing up the aesthetics.

I put 3 layer of this thing at my racket and tge weight increases by 0.2 lbs. So it can be use as guard, also as additional weight for the racket just like lead tape.
Dont waste your money
I have used the black gamma guard for many years holds up very well! However this clear Gamma Guard is like putting scotch tape on your racquet . It does not hold up.
