Prince Synthetic Gut
I'm a decent 4.0 player, hit with medium power I suppose, play about 2X a week and string my own rackets every 2 months. I like this string a lot, but have also experimented with too many other brands to list, all costing much much more than this old "tried and tested" string. It's both lively and yet just soft enough to cushion the impact of the strike without feeling "mushy". I get a lot of feel with it and more than ample response "pop" with it when I need it. I use 17 gauge strung at 56 lbs in a low power rated Tecnifibre 320 Fight frame (11.8 oz). It's the perfect combination for me. I am also liking how it feels in my med. power Dunlop Aerogel 500 Tour. I recommend this string. It's been very good for me! Though inexpensive, it is a quality string.

Excellent Feel and Performance
I had paid twice as much previously for other strings and was concerned that such an inexpensive string would not perform. Forget the hype and purchase this string.
I play twice a week and this is an excellent performer and great value for my level of play.
Broke after 4 matches
It felt OK to hit. I use moderate to heavy topspin of forehand & backhand & play at 4.5 level, but was surprised strings broke after 4 matches. My racket is the Hybrid Hornet O3.
Ive used the 16 gauge prince synthetic gut original for over 20 years. After playing a few tournaments, and witnessing a lot of heavy top spin I thought I would try new string technology. I tried a few multifilament strings, and didnt like they way it felt when I struck the ball. I then decided to go back to the prince synthetic gut original, but went with 17 gauge. I think its a great string. It bites the ball, and gives me more power than the 16 gauge ever did. I dont break string often, so it works for me. At around '$'4 per set of string, I can restring often with out worrying about cost.
Nothing better than the original!
I still love the feel, comfort, playability and power combination found in Princes original synthetic gut strings. I do break these strings quite often - about once a week, but that is a small price to pay for how these strings play.
