Alize started playing tennis at age 4 after watching her brother, Sebastien, play. She has an impressive junior record, reaching a career-high combined junior ranking of world No. 8 in 2007 and capturing her sole Grand Slam Girls Singles title at the 2007 Junior French Open. In 2014 she made a name for herself by defeating world No. 1 Serena Williams at three different tournaments. She has recorded six WTA Singles titles, three WTA Doubles titles, three ITF Singles titles and three ITF Doubles titles so far in her tennis career. She is a baseliner who loves her backhand and her favorite surface is clay. She most admires Rafael Nadal and her brother. She enjoys music, movies and other sports like basketball, handball and soccer. She has a cat (Lilou) and a dog (Andy).
