The Ashaway MonoGut ZX Pro 17 string offers players gut-like response and power in a package that is durable and tension stable. This string utilizes an advanced material known as Zyex which has an inherently low dynamic stiffness. This results in better energy return to the ball and a more responsive feel than polyester or nylon based strings. The absence of polyester additives decreases stiffness and improves string elongation, resulting in natural gut like playability that has better tension maintenance than other polyester or nylon offerings. The Zyex monofilament construction offers better durability and resistance to conditions like humidity and moisture compared to natural gut. The 17 gauge diameter trades a slight reduction in durability for maximum feel and responsiveness. Frequent stringers will enjoy added value per string job by purchasing the 360 foot reel option. The Perfect String

This string pockets like gut, lasts like poly, and holds tension better than any of the top synthetics. My daughter had chronic wrist and elbow tendinitis. Having noticed that Ashaway MZX Pro was rated as the softest non-gut string, I had my daughter try it and she liked it right away. She has built up to 24 hours a week on court and has been injury-free since she began using Ashaway MZX Pro 18 months ago. Monogut ZX Pro 17g

I have been using Ashways Monogut ZX Pro as my main string with a soft nylon or multifilament as my crosses. Im stringing at a much lower tension than I ever imagined and the Ashway Monogut ZX Pro is producing power, comfort and good control. Ive strung and field tested string for 30 years and this string is in my top five of all time.

The string played great! It did what it said it would do. The response to the ball is great as well as the power it has in it. I have recommended it to a lot of players that are looking for the gut like feel with the durability of a poly that will not hurt your arm.
