Based off the belief that with greater weight comes greater ball speed, the Avery M3 Power alters the Control model for improved depth and pace. In honoring the traditional graphite construction, the 12.7 ounce weight takes an adjustment but provides one of the most stable frames our testing staff has ever tried. The 95 square inch head of the M3 Power features more weight in the head, measuring 7 points head light for more than enough plough-through feeling. Our testing staff took a bit of time to adjust to the high swing weight, but when contact is made, there is no feeling of any instability or loss of control. While we did not feel that the racquet was particularly powerful, it did provide plenty of depth and good penetration. A unique frame, this one felt best suited to baseliners due to the extreme stability which did take away a bit from maneuverability in exchange.

Weight is your friend

If you are a baseline player who wants to hit a heavy ball that stays in the court, nothing else comes close. Averys site list the swingweight at 350. The weight does most of the work for you. If you prepare early, and put your body weight into the shot, you will find you actually swing easier, as the weight of the stick slows evertyhing down. Stability is amazing, when your opponent sends a hard shot, you send it back harder, with no flex or twisting of the racquet. Serves for me lost a little pace, but the added control makes up for it. This is also a very arm friendly weapon. The only downside is that you do lose a little manuverability. The weight does take a few times to get used to, but eventually you will not want to go back to anything else.
