Rolling out with a new paint job, the Babolat Pure Storm GT Tour Tennis Racquet is a great addition to the Pure Storm line from Babolat. The racquet has the new GT technology which provides added strength and stability to the frame, replacing the old Carbon XTrem material. The Woofer technology on the sides of the racquet allows the strings to move, creating a trampoline effect that prolongs the ball dwell time for increased control and less shock. The frame has similar specs to the Babolat Pure Storm GT Tour Tennis Racquet but comes with a bit larger head size and a less head light weight distribution. The tour version is a heavy frame built to satisfy players looking for a little bit of heft. As usual, the Babolat Pure Storm GT Tour has an open 16x20 string pattern and a 98 square inch head size, which allows for a very maneuverable and responsive racquet with a blend of both power and control.

We definitely suggest this frame for 4.0+ NTRP rated players. The Babolat Pure Storm GT Tour Tennis Racquet will appeal to fans of the midplus racquets starving for a little more weight. The 10 pts head light weight distribution will be an advantage on the court, allowing the player with access to great maneuverability. Also, the thing beam will provide added stability, which players will love. If you like this frame but prefer a bit longer racquet, then check out the Babolat Pure Storm GT Tour Plus Tennis Racquet, and demo a racquet soon!

Great control!

The Pure Storm Tour Gt offered incredible control and a solid feel. Not the most powerful but I am a little surprised at the power that it did produce. I would definitely recommend this racquet.

purchased the babolat pure storm GT for my fifteen year old son who plays varsity tennis for his high school. he loves the weight of the babolat and the better control he is able to get on his serves...a great racquet!

i am a 4.5+ level player who plays about 4-6 times a week. i switched to this racket from my head pristige and it is so much better. there is an increase in spin and power in this racket while at the same time not giving up any control. it is fantastic for serves because of the added power and although it took some getting used to it was a fantastic choice for me and anyone who has a true all court game

In the last month I have bought two PSTs one from a local store and one off of Tennis Express and I love these things. I enjoy the paint job a lot more on this 2011 version versus the previous, its cleaner. The control on this frame is wonderful, the heft of the frame gives you that outstanding stability for placement. The more modern headsize is great for those modern play styles and accents those attributes well. Spin generation is quite noticeable - you wont be able to whip this as fast as a lighter frame, but you wont be disappointed. I guarantee that you will enjoy flat shots and slice shots with this frame. The stability gives you that extra pinch of quality that wont be matched by any other racquet similar this one. Serves are steaming with pop and placement - not to mention volleys. Overall this racquet will benefit from anywhere on the court - the stability, controlled power, and placement were quite outstanding for myself. I recommend this frame to anyone who has a m

Pure Storm Tour GT racquet
5/5
I demoed this racquet with my local tennis club. Normally I play with an Aeropro Team 10.6 oz strung, which was a good, light racquet to start out with I have now been playing around 3 years. Dont get me wrong, the Aeropro team is a great racquet with great control, maneuverability and spin. However I found that as I started improving my game and playing hard hitting players above a 4.0 level, that a light racquet just wasnt doing enough for me. A heavy racquet helped me time my swing and make consistent contact with the ball much better and helped me develop a more fluid stroke. At around 11.9 oz strung, the Pure storm Tour was amazing. I strung mine with babolat addiction at 59lbs and have also tried NRG2 technifibre 17gauge at 59.5lbs. Amazing control even as the pace of the ball speeds up during higher levels of play. I was hitting all my shots and could place the ball more accurately than I had ever done before with my previous racquet. I wasnt getting pushed around and it w
