Seeking to bridge the performance gap between natural gut and synthetic strings is the all new Babolat Origin. This polyamide monofilament is made from a revolutionary bio-based material called PureCombo. This material allows the string to offer unmatched power and comfort. The monofilament construction allows for it to play with more power than a multifilament string. Its unique material properties allow it to generate more power with less effort, yielding a string that offers more comfort than any other synthetic. Durability is also exceptional thanks to the string’s monofilament design. Players seeking a revolutionary synthetic string that offers premier durability, power and comfort will want to string their racquet with Babolat Origin.

Could use more spin

Thought Id give it a chance. A lot of the control of the open string bed racquets is from the increased spin. Origin has very low spin potential. Playing side by side with my other 99S frames racquets strung with Ripspin and Black Code was like night and day. The origin has a nice feel almost as nice as NXT, but was very difficult to get spin with. I play 3 league matches a week and practice twice or play tournaments.

good power- low spin potential
4/5
I strung one of my Blade 98s at 56lb with this string and I must say it has good overall power and tension retention. Plus it has held quite well to constant play. I didnt get any benefit of spin from the string...thats been all technique. If you are looking for a durable string with good power give this a try. i have heard of people having arm pain, but perhaps that was strung to high. I havent experienced any pain from the origin string.

Pricey, but high quality strings
5/5
Compared to the Excel strings by Babolat, the Origin tennis strings provide more control and slightly more effective topspin. The feel in general is real good. I still cannot say anything about durability, but I switched from Excel to Origin mainly due for that issue. Theyre definitely on the pricier side. The slightly less expensive Luxilon brand by Wilson are in my opinion also excellent in terms of feel. Still I would highly recommend the Origin strings.

Great new string

Excellent tension hold and feel - bit pricey but overall a great new addition to the babolat line

Best String Ive Used
5/5
This string is extremely comfortable and has a substantial amount of power. It is strong so it rarely breaks and I prefer it at a 58 ilb tension.

not for the Sr player

longlasting but you give away a lot of feel. Im going back to NXT type of string
