Babolat RPM Blast 18G Tennis String Half Reel
Description
The Babolat RPM Blast 18G Tennis String Half Reel is the string of choice for Rafael Nadal, and Jo-Wilfred Tsonga. RPM Blast stays with the octagonal profile but enhances the spin generation through the use of a new dye and coating. The cross-linked silicone coating is designed to allow the strings to slide across each other easier. This serves two purposes, the first is that the string can move easily, effectively allowing the stringbed to play as a more open pattern. The second, of course, is to enhance durability by lessening string to string friction. Babolat's RPM Blast is a popular choice among strong baseliners seeking durability and spin to dictate the action.

Excellent Product

I have used RPM Blast 17 for some time with great results. The concern going to 18G was potential string breakage. I happy to report the string has had no wear problems and provided maximum spin which was my overall goal. I would highly recommend the product and Tennis Express.

Living in Alaska there are few opportunities to play tennis. It is either in the summer outdoors on non rainy days, or in doors for the other eight months of the year. So during the summer time I try to play as much as possible. These strings are great! I have to tension set at 55lbs for both the crosses and the mains on a Aero Pro Drive GT. The spin and power I am able to generate from this string is tremendous, and since I am adding both the ball does not fly out. I highly recommend this string to any player wanting to bring their game to another level. However, there is a one small downside to this, the durability is slightly low. That is why you order the reel! Great strings!
