Xcel features a polyurethane resin that increases comfort as well as durability by ensuring adhesion between individual fibers. The dual coating of polyurethane followed by polyamide provides a friction barrier, resisting string burning and notching to extend the life of the string. Great For Improving Shots

I am a 3.0 player in the Atlanta area. I used the Babolat Revenge and they were great strings, but since I am a heavy hitter, I would hit a lot of shots long. I went to the Xcel strings and noticed a lot more control on the strings and I am happy with them. I am on a two match win streak with them and it's all to do with keeping the ball in bounds. Great string for a player wanting to improve their game at mid level.

Currently, Babolat Xcel is my favorite string. I am a 3.5 to 4.0 level player who has a moderate swing speed and a relatively flat forehand that could benefit from more topspin, but Im working on it. I get about 25 - 30 hours of life out of the strings before onset of excessive fraying or breakage. The string provides me with good feel at a tension of 55 lbs. I prefer the feel of the strings a little better than a similar, good product...the Wilson NXT.

I used the string for my Babolat NEW Drive Z raquet. I am a tennis player and play for the local teams. I use medium to fast swings and need added power for my game, mostly doubles. The Xcel 16g helps me to serve the purpose as in playing doubles you need quick reaction and shorter reaction time. This string also works very good on the second serve. If you are playing 4.0 - 5.0 rating, I recommend you try this string.

Great Feel!

Im used to playing tennis with the Luxilon Wilson strings. The Xcel 16g Tennis String Natural came as a bonus when buying a Babolat racquet. I have to say Im a big fan and probably will use them again in the future. I play with lots of spin and those strings somehow complement my new Babolat racquet.

I have used Babolat Xcel as my string of choice for years. Great feel and touch. Able to get the intended spin on the ball as I want. Holds tension well. It may not have the bite of other strings or the durability however, it fits what I look for.

This string is perfect for my game I love how it plays, and it was expertly strung on my racquet. My only problem was that it took about a month and a half for the strings/racquet to arrive. Somehow there was a clerical error and the warehouse had labeled my order as shipped, but it hadnt been. It took me talking to customer service to get it straightened out. Once customer service got involved, I received my order in 3 days, so I assume it was an anomaly for them. Ive ordered in the past and everything was great, so I will continue to order from Tennis Express.
