2014 French Open: Federer’s Grand Slam Look

With one French Open win under his built, Roger Federer will hit the clay courts at Roland Garros in hopes for another grand slam. Win or lose, Federer is a champion when it comes to style and will be wearing new threads from his new summer collection by Nike.

In Paris, Roger will be sporting the Premier Crew in grey heather. If you’ve been watching Roger this season you’ll notice he’s been wearing a similar crew during the clay court swing. This time he’s changing things up with a pop of university red. My favorite thing about this crew is the super soft feel upon contact. It features moisture wicking fabric and ventilation holes on the sides and back panel that allows air circulation and breathability so even if Roger breaks a sweat, he’ll be covered. Federer will weat the Dri-FIT Gladiator Premier shorts he’s been seen in throughout the clay court season, featuring a stylish graphic print and pockets at the sides for ball storage. The soft grey colors add a cool contrast to the clay courts.

Roger will throw on the Premier Cover-Up in midnight blue in between matches. This sleek jacket incorporates Nike’s Dri-FIT fabric, featuring a two-way zipper for a superior fit and a ventilated back panel that assures extra breathability on and off the court.

For sweat management, Federer will add his signatureSwoosh Bandana in university red to top off his French Open look. This bandana also comes in other colors that coordinate nicely with the Nike men’s summer line if you want to check them out here.

On his feet he will be wearing the Vapor 9.5 Tours in light grey with a touch of red. An upgrade of the Vapor 9, these offer maximum speed and explosiveness on the court. If you want to find out more on how great these shoes are, head over to our YouTube channel for our shoe review on the 9.5s.
